Extra Regen
Makes laning phase significantly easier. Upgrades into a core item.

Melee Lifesteal
12% melee damage is a LOT, the healing from this item should also let you trade more aggressively. Sell later when slotlocked

Melee Charge
Burst off Charge, lets you schmoove a little better. If you can ever get a heavy melee off without charge during a fight the damage adds up.

Close Quarters
Rounds off your gun damage until after finishing green and purple spikes.

Enchanter's Emblem
Pick 1 of Emblem/Vest first then buy the other after purple spike. Stat stick for early game. Needs supported by other spirit resist items (Dispel Magic for example). Sell later for a 6k.

Arcane Surge
Almost always use on Siphon. You can use it on charge to connect to distant walls, or on ult to get range on it.

Bullet Resist Shredder
This item is just a way cleaner solution for shred at the cost of sacrificing duration, but I haven't felt much impact losing duration in my games.

Improved Spirit
Component of your spirit 4.8k and Boundless. Very replaceable to counterbuild if necessary.

Battle Vest
Pick 1 of Emblem/Vest first then buy the other after purple spike. Stat stick for early game. You have 29% bullet res with all items here, so you can hold onto this for a while. Sell later for a 6k.

Point Blank
Extremely high damage for 4.8k. Slot efficient item.

Healing Booster
Once you own this you can sell Melee Lifesteal if needed. Excellent for Siphon healing and Infernal healing.
